PRLog – June 11, 2015 – NEW YORK — Mobile Health, the largest non-hospital occupational health provider in the New York City area, and QIRT (Quality in Real Time), an authority on home health and hospice coding and consulting services, are partnering to launch a new series of educational programs for home health agencies. A major focus of the program is to help home health agency administrators better understand their constantly changing regulatory environment and best practice approaches to remain compliant with state regulations.

As Mobile Health and QIRT continued to expand geographically and attract new clients, the companies found that some agencies did not have the necessary information to comply with each and every regulatory requirement. This risk left many vulnerable to fines and penalties by local, state, and federal regulators and accreditation bodies.

Supported by client demand, the goal of this educational series is to better support and strengthen the home health industry as a whole.

Initial plans consist of webinars and in-person events focused on timely topics valuable to the industry. QIRT and Mobile Health will also coordinate the delivery of Compliance Action Alerts to tri-state agencies to keep them apprised of important notices from regulators and compliance experts. These alerts include influenza advisories, home health training programs, wage parity updates, and other areas of interest. The programs will be available to QIRT and Mobile Health clients, and offered to the general home health industry as well.

Through her clinical consulting work, Laura Page-Greifinger, President and CEO of QIRT, has seen a real need for disseminating information to agencies. Mobile Health has that information, and the ability to implement compliance. She discussed how aligning with Mobile Health, a company with standards similar to QIRT, is beneficial for the future of health care: “Both organizations are considered the “gold standard” within their market. Technologically, Mobile Health is very advanced. Their use of best practices results in an approach that actively increases compliance throughout their clients’ agencies. As we move toward population management and identify agency strengths and weaknesses, QIRT will identify agency compliance and quality deficits and Mobile Health will assist agencies in remedying the gaps. This brings to the forefront our primary focus: patient health. If providers remain healthy, the results are healthier patients.”

Mobile Health believes QIRT’s expertise will assist their clients in quality and compliance. Andrew Shulman, Mobile Health CEO shares, “At Mobile Health, we work to be a valuable partner to home care and not just another vendor. When I learned of QIRT’s impressive successful track record, it became obvious to me that our aligned companies can actually have a significantly positive impact on the agencies and their direct providers of care.”

The educational series is scheduled to begin this summer. Together, Mobile Health and QIRT hope to be part of the solution to having healthier agency personnel and patients. They believe their perspective on population health management, as less of a requirement and more of a proactive approach, will lead the home health care and hospice industry in a cost effective and healthy direction.
