Will Pausing of J&J COVID-19 Vaccine Increase Vaccine Hesitancy?

“We are going to have a steep climb back.”

NEW YORK – April 16, 2021 – “The CDC-FDA’s April 2020 pausing of the J&J COVID-19 vaccine following isolated blood clots will have a lasting effect on vaccine hesitancy,” Mobile Health CEO Andrew Shulman said in an interview with NBC LX News. “Even prior to the pause, Mobile Health saw 20 percent of scheduled appointments refuse the J&J vaccine, due to misinformation,” he said. The J&J single shot vaccine has been intended for rural areas, where vaccine hesitancy is higher. “We are going to have a steep climb back (from vaccine hesitancy), but President Biden assures us we’ll have plenty of Pfizer and Moderna vaccine.”

Catching Rare Vaccine Issue Means System Is Working

Temporarily paused single dose vaccine has been targeted for use in hard-to-reach places like homeless shelters and rural areas.

NEW YORK – April 13, 2021 – “There is an advantage to the paused J&J COVID-19 vaccine,” Mobile Health CEO Andrew Shulman said in an interview Fox 5 DC – Good Day DC. “An exceedingly rare (vaccine) issue was caught. That means the system is working. I hope people will see vaccines are safe and effective and we can surmount some vaccine hesitancy.” Shulman hopes agencies will resume shipment so it can be administered in hard-to-reach places like homeless shelters and rural areas. “It can be challenging to get those patients back for their necessary second dose,” he said.

Is it safe yet to work and go back to school in New York?

Mobilemedical and testing: three simple words.

It’s when you put the three of them together that all the trouble begins.

You have to meet up with the test subject. You have to extract the specimen. You have to send the specimen to the lab. You have to trust the lab’s results. (This particular step is now officially known as “the Mike DeWine,” in honor of the Republican governor of Ohio who got a false positive on his coronavirus test last week just as he was heading into the White House.) You have to report the results to the patient and anyone else with a right to see them. You might or might not have to deal with an insurance company, and you know what a barrel of fun that can be! And you have to achieve all this quickly enough that it actually does some good. Read More
