- The NSDUH reports that 7.5 percent of Americans abused marijuana in 2013, making it the most abused illicit drug in the country.
- Approximately 70 percent of Americans who abuse illegal drugs are employed, as published by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD), increasing the risks for a work-related accident while under the influence of drugs.
